Another fascinating post! Inspirational, and I learned the word "asemic!"

Wonderful examples from your journal & sketchbook, too.

I love this Rina. Such a fun meditative exercise that I look forward to trying. Do you think automatic drawing is conducive to practicing alongside others or is it better as a purely solitary exercise?

Thank you, Rina! Now I finally have a name for what the hell I was doing in college drawing classes! You know what immediately came to mind as I started reading your post? The Ouija board planchette! Except there's only one person playing the game. I'll restack your post soon and use it as a launching point for my own take on this kind of drawing. Great post!

Oh great — looking forward to seeing it! I know that feeling — when you’re doing something that you’re not yet aware of as a “thing” with a name! Thanks for the note!

Thanks for the comment🙂 As to your question, I think it would depend on the individuals involved— if you’re not too easily distracted by others, then sure, why not have a group session, there are really no hard rules to it. However for folks who may find it hard to “let go” while in the presence of others, then going solo is the way to go. Hope that answers your question! ✍️
